The forward said he was first introduced to snus - a tobacco-based nicotine product that users place between their upper lip and gumline - during his time at Palace, who he represented from 2014-17.

Former Premier League striker Fraizer Campbell has revealed he suffered from a crippling snus addiction during his playing career that left him constantly fatigued. Speaking to the Sports Agents, the 39-year-old former Manchester United and Crystal Palace player explained he was introduced to the tobacco-based nicotine product to unwind after games before his usage escalated to morning training sessions.
Campbell, who stated he is now six months clean, noted the addiction worsened significantly after his retirement. His revelation aligns with wider concerns highlighted by the Professional Footballers' Association, which previously found that one in five elite players used snus or nicotine pouches, prompting the union to launch a confidential support service.
