It sounds like Freddy Peralta isn't the only former New York Mets player teams are willing to buy into.

Writing for Rising Apple, Tim Boyle highlights reporting from FanSided's Robert Murray indicating that former New York Mets pitcher David Peterson is viewed by league evaluators as having his best days ahead of him. Along with former Mets pitcher Freddy Peralta, who revived his value with the Tampa Bay Rays, Peterson is positioned as an underrated free-agent arm entering the offseason market.
Boyle notes that Peterson improved significantly after joining the Chicago Cubs, posting a 3.70 ERA compared to a 6.09 mark with the Mets, aided in part by stronger outfield defense. While Spotrac projects Peterson to receive a one-year, $10 million contract, Boyle suggests the left-hander could secure a multi-year deal if a club believes his skill set will thrive in the right environment.
