Glentoran suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cliftonville in the quarter-final of the Co Antrim Shield on Tuesday night, losing a four-game unbeaten run in the process

Glentoran defender Ryan Cooney has called on his squad to quickly move on from their County Antrim Shield loss against Cliftonville. The 1–0 defeat ended Glentoran's four-match unbeaten run, but Cooney stressed the importance of sustaining their recent Premiership form under interim bosses Paddy McCourt and Tim McCann.
Glentoran have secured 10 points from their last four league matches and will host Limavady United on Saturday. Cooney noted that the squad aims to keep closing the gap on the teams above them, especially with players such as Jarlath O’Rourke and Pat Hoban returning from injuries.
