Spain must play their next international friendly with a partial stadium closure after supporters sang a discriminatory chant about Muslims multiple times during a game against Egypt on 31 March.

Spain has received a partial stadium closure and a $20,000 fine from FIFA following discriminatory chants aimed at Muslims during a friendly against Egypt. Home supporters sang the offensive chants during the match on March 31 at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona, prompting warnings on the venue's screens.
Spain must close 15% of the stadium, primarily behind the goals, during their next friendly match. FIFA rejected arguments from the Royal Spanish Football Federation claiming the chants were not discriminatory, though the federation may fill the closed seats with community groups upon approval.
