Former Celtic captain Scott Brown revealed that he turned down a managerial job offer from EFL club Cheltenham Town shortly after his departure from Fleetwood Town. Brown explained that although Cheltenham offered him the position on the spot during an in-person meeting, he declined due to the club's financial constraints and the high probability of relegation.
Following his later departure from Ayr United, Brown shared that he has no immediate plans to return to management. He is currently focusing on media work, including broadcasting with the BBC, and spending time watching his children play football, although he expects to return to coaching eventually.
