Top goaltending prospect Pyotr Andreyanov is off to a slow start in the KHL. But the Blue Jackets should not be concerned yet.

Columbus Blue Jackets goaltending prospect Pyotr Andreyanov is experiencing a difficult start to his season on loan with KHL club HC Sochi. Owned by CSKA Moscow, the 19-year-old was sent on loan to gain top-tier experience, but he has accumulated a 2-9-0 record across 11 appearances alongside a 3.51 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage.
Writer Curtis Deem notes that despite the poor statistics behind a struggling team, there is little long-term concern for Andreyanov's development. Andreyanov has missed Sochi's last two games while seemingly dealing with an injury.
