Moyes is in the final year of his current Everton contract but says talks over an extension have entered a ‘lull’
Everton manager David Moyes confirmed that contract extension talks have entered a lull following news that the club may be sold. The Friedkin Group recently announced it is exploring the sale of its controlling interest in the Merseyside club. Moyes is currently in the final year of his contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Despite the pause in discussions, Moyes stated that resolving his contract is not his main priority. He returned to Everton in January 2025 and has led the team to fifth place, remaining unbeaten through six Premier League matches ahead of hosting Chelsea.
