In-demand midfielder could be on the move in January
Bournemouth manager Marco Rose has delivered a positive injury update on Alex Scott, confirming the midfielder is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a thigh injury. The news comes alongside reports that Bournemouth have softened their stance on potentially selling the 23-year-old midfielder amid ongoing interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.
Chelsea previously saw a £64 million permanent transfer bid rejected during the summer window. Bournemouth are now reportedly open to a sale if bids exceed £100 million and their top-flight survival looks likely. Scott injured his thigh on international duty with England, but Rose confirmed MRI results show his healing is progressing much better than anticipated.
