The defender has formed a key partnership with Olwethu Makhanya at the heart of the Ibrox defence

Rangers center-back Emmanuel Fernandez has urged his team to return to defensive basics after conceding a late goal against Kilmarnock. Despite securing a 3-1 victory, Fernandez expressed frustration that Gers conceded in stoppage time, which ended a run of nearly 500 minutes without allowing a goal across domestic fixtures.
Fernandez returned to club duties following a lengthy international window representing Nigeria, which included stops in Guinea-Bissau and a 3-3 friendly draw against Russia. The defender noted that after spending a full week training together post-break, the squad is ready to refocus on securing clean sheets.
