Ravichandran Ashwin has criticized the BCCI selection committee for omitting Yashasvi Jaiswal from India's squad for the New Zealand ODI series. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin stated that leaving Jaiswal out is unfair and unfortunate, arguing the batter deserved inclusion in the final two matches with Shubman Gill rested.
Ashwin highlighted that Jaiswal has lacked international match practice for roughly four months despite previously scoring consistently across formats. He warned that missing opportunities could damage the young batter's confidence and urged team management to properly nurture his development ahead of upcoming tournaments.
