David Moyes sends clear Jordan Pickford message amid James Trafford England battle – ‘I don’t think’

Everton manager David Moyes has backed goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to retain his status as England's number one despite emerging competition from Leeds United goalkeeper James Trafford. Pickford, 32, shared goalkeeping duties with Trafford during the recent international break. Moyes stated that Pickford returned from international action in peak physical shape and rejected suggestions that he will be easily displaced from the national team.

Moyes also disputed claims that Trafford possesses superior distribution, arguing that Pickford remains the better kicker while highlighting the core necessity of shot-stopping. Additionally, the manager praised midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who joined Everton from Chelsea for £25 million in August, commending his quick adaptation and impact at the club.
