India's fast bowling coach Morne Morkel highlighted mental fatigue within the squad caused by a relentless playing and travel schedule. Speaking ahead of the fifth T20I against the West Indies in Bengaluru, Morkel praised his bowlers for delivering results despite tight turnarounds involving the Asian Games in Japan, bilateral series, and official events.
Morkel emphasized the necessity of recovery and sleep for proper match execution, noting that the team is soon traveling to New Zealand for another demanding tour. He urged critics and supporters on social media to show patience and allow players leeway when performances dip.
