Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer pushed back against former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin's criticism of players-only meetings. Tomlin remarked on the New Heights podcast that holding such meetings signifies a team is "dead." Speaking on 105.3 The Fan, Schottenheimer defended Dallas' gathering, arguing that productive meetings driven by leadership show accountability rather than dysfunction.
Schottenheimer highlighted leaders Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark for directing solution-oriented discussions following a 24-16 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The defeat dropped Dallas to 2-3 while allowing 395.4 yards per game defensively. The Cowboys will face the Green Bay Packers next at Lambeau Field.
