San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle revealed he lost approximately 10 pounds due to an illness prior to the Week 5 victory against the Seattle Seahawks. Kittle described feeling like a shell of himself entering the matchup at Lumen Field, relying on caffeine and training staff support to suit up and play despite the lingering sickness.
Despite the illness, Kittle recorded five receptions for 24 yards as the 49ers defeated the Seahawks 32-29 to improve to 5-0. He indicated that he has nearly regained the lost weight ahead of San Francisco's Monday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders on October 19.
