Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon predicted the Miami Dolphins could eventually bench quarterback Malik Willis in favor of backup Kyle McCord. Miami started the season 0-5 with the league's worst passing offense and second-lowest-scoring offense, with Willis throwing more interceptions than touchdowns and ranking last among qualified passers in passer rating.

Gagnon projects the change could occur by the regular season finale against the New England Patriots, despite head coach Jeff Hafley stating Willis' job is not currently in peril. Miami signed Willis to a three-year, $67 million contract in the offseason before acquiring McCord in a trade.
