TaylorMade and TAG Heuer have unveiled a new co-branded golf collection, featuring a Connected Calibre E5 smartwatch and a Spider ZT putter. The collaboration, launched yesterday, introduces equipment and accessories designed to blend performance technology with luxury aesthetics. These items are now available for purchase, targeting golfers interested in high-end gear.

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 45 mm x TaylorMade Edition watch builds on the Connected Calibre E5 golf edition. It features a titanium case, blasted to align with golf equipment aesthetics. TaylorMade logos adorn the bezel, crown, and strap. This edition notably marks the first Connected Calibre E5 without a black coating, offering a distinct metallic finish. Key to its appeal is an upgraded battery specification, which literature suggests offers robust performance for extended golf use. The watch automatically tracks strokes and integrates TaylorMade algorithms for Strokes Gained analysis, identifying player strengths and weaknesses.

The Spider ZT putter, presented in the collaboration, features a TAG Heuer logo as its alignment aid. Its colour scheme mirrors the new smartwatch, creating a cohesive aesthetic. The putter also incorporates watch dial-inspired weights, adding a unique design element for enthusiasts of both brands. Complementary co-branded soft goods, including hats, gloves, headcovers, and a stand bag, complete the collection.

The most significant development for golfers is the reported improvement in the watchโ€™s battery life. The previous E3 model struggled through full rounds with high settings. The new E5 edition addresses this concern directly.

The press release states: “Battery performance is structured across several modes, including up to two days in performance mode, up to three days in low power mode, and up to 17 hours in sport mode, with up to 12 hours dedicated to golf. Fast charging provides one day of use in 30 minutes.”

This enhanced endurance means the watch can support multiple rounds of golf, significantly reducing anxieties about power depletion on the course. The faster charging capability also adds practical convenience for regular users. Beyond the technical advancements, the collaboration offers a distinct aesthetic for golfers who appreciate both high-performance equipment and luxury accessories, providing a unique blend of two prominent brands in the sport.
