Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who left last week's game with injured ribs, has been fully cleared to play against the Bears on Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has received no injury designation and is fully cleared to play Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Penix sustained a rib injury after a fourth-quarter sack in last week's overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens, though he participated fully in practice throughout the week. Coach Kevin Stefanski stated that Penix will not require extra rib protection or scheme alterations.
Penix threw for 240 yards and a touchdown against Baltimore before exiting, after which Tua Tagovailoa threw a game-ending interception. On the season, Penix has completed 67.5% of his passes for 719 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, helping spark the offense following early-season starts by Cooper Rush.
