Basketball Hall of Fame forward Cliff Hagan has passed away at the age of 94, as announced Friday by the University of Kentucky. Hagan was a five-time NBA All-Star who spent his entire 10-year NBA career with the St. Louis Hawks, where he averaged 18.0 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He later served as the athletics director at Kentucky, his alma mater.

Before entering the NBA, Hagan led Kentucky under coach Adolph Rupp to the 1951 NCAA championship. Drafted by the Boston Celtics, he was famously traded alongside Ed Macauley to the Hawks for the draft rights to Bill Russell in 1956.
