Los Angeles Lakers center Walker Kessler might be on the verge of his career-best campaign, but health remains a question mark.

Los Angeles Lakers center Walker Kessler received votes from league executives in the annual NBA GM survey as a candidate for a breakout season. The Lakers acquired the 7-foot-2 center this offseason via a sign-and-trade deal involving two unprotected first-round draft picks and two pick swaps, with Kessler signing a four-year, $130 million contract.
Colin Keane of Lake Show Life argues that Kessler could thrive alongside Luka Doncic and a strong defensive supporting cast, but notes that player health and availability remain critical concerns following an injury-shortened five-game campaign with Utah last season.
