The New York Jets have activated rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr and have added some LB insurance before Week 6.

The New York Jets announced they have activated rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr from injured reserve and elevated linebacker Jaden Keller from the practice squad. Cooper, who suffered an ankle injury in Week 1, is set to play in his second NFL game on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Keller's elevation marks his third and final permitted practice squad promotion of the season.
Writer Paul Esden Jr argues that the Jets should manage Cooper's workload with a strict snap count upon his return rather than overusing him. With wide receiver Adonai Mitchell set to miss his fourth straight game, Esden warns that rushing Cooper into heavy action risks reaggravating his injury.
