Kent Johnson scored with 1:33 remaining in overtime to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 1-0 victory against the New York Rangers on Saturday night. Zach Werenski assisted on Johnson's wrist shot from the slot after receiving a pass from Charlie Coyle, securing Columbus's win and ending a two-game slide.
Goaltender Jet Greaves earned his fifth career shutout by stopping 29 shots for the Blue Jackets. New York goaltender Dylan Garand made 28 saves, but the Rangers failed to convert on three third-period power plays and saw Alexis Lafreniere's six-game point streak end.
