Isaiah Jackson Will Start At Center For The Opener

Draymond Green is adjusting to a modified role within the Golden State Warriors' offense due to his trust in head coach Steve Kerr. Green will spend less time directing plays from the top of the key and instead position himself more frequently in the corners and on the wings. The tactical change comes after Green's assist-to-turnover ratio fell to 2.1:1 last season, prompting Kerr to focus heavily on reducing turnovers.

Kerr noted that Green has fully embraced the adjustment, demonstrating success by averaging 6.3 assists and 1.5 turnovers during the preseason. Kerr also expressed comfort with starting Green at center to open the season, a move made viable due to Kristaps Porzingis' health concerns and 40-year-old Al Horford's restricted availability.
