Dylan Garand turned aside everything for nearly 64 minutes. Three power plays later, the Rangers still couldn’t give him a single goal of support.
The New York Rangers fell 1-0 in overtime to the Columbus Blue Jackets despite a stellar goaltending performance from Dylan Garand. Garand kept the Blue Jackets off the board for nearly 64 minutes before Kent Johnson scored the game-winning goal with 1:33 remaining in the extra period off assists from Charlie Coyle and Zach Werenski.
New York failed to provide any offensive support, going scoreless on three power-play opportunities during the third period. Columbus goaltender Jet Greaves shut out the Rangers, who will return home on Monday to face the Anaheim Ducks.
