George Kittle wants the 49ers to trade for Chargers edge rusher Khalil Mack, and this mock trade should get that done.

Niner Noise proposes a mock trade sending Los Angeles Chargers edge rusher Khalil Mack to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick. The suggestion follows 49ers general manager John Lynch noting that tight end George Kittle inquired about Mack's availability ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
Writer Nick San Miguel argues that the 35-year-old veteran would significantly bolster San Francisco's defensive line depth opposite Nick Bosa. Mack is currently playing on a one-year, $18 million contract without a no-trade clause, while the Chargers struggle at 0-5.
