Rhys McCabe achieved success at Airdrie playing youth - and he's hoping Rangers kid Kyle Glasgow is the first of many to get the chance to shine .
Scotland Under-16 coach Rhys McCabe hopes Rangers teenager Kyle Glasgow's rapid promotion through the national youth ranks will inspire other young prospects across Scotland. Glasgow, currently on a cooperation loan at Alloa Athletic, recently made his debut for Scotland's Under-21 side at age 16 during a European Championship qualifying victory against Azerbaijan at Rugby Park.
McCabe emphasized the importance of trusting youth on merit rather than prioritizing experience, drawing from his successful management tenure at Airdrieonians. He believes providing younger players with first-team opportunities and national team promotions will raise standards for both upcoming players and Scottish coaches.
