Wardley was badly beaten by Dubois who had his man down in the opening seconds before finishing the job in the next round

Filip Hrgovic has urged Fabio Wardley to retire from boxing following his stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois. Wardley was knocked down in the opening seconds and stopped in the second round of their heavyweight world title rematch on Saturday. Hrgovic claimed Wardley looked damaged from their previous encounter and suggested he should step away from the sport.
Wardley dismissed the retirement call, stating his preparation was not ideal and that he plans to rebuild and pursue the world title again. Meanwhile, promoter Frank Warren indicated that Dubois will now target unification bouts to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion.
