The Story in 60 Seconds

Florian Wirtz delivered a standout creative performance during Liverpool's 2-1 victory over nine-man Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday. The German playmaker assisted Victor Munoz's equalizer before Alexander Isak secured the winning goal. Wirtz created nine chances during the match, the most in an away Premier League fixture since August 2011, taking his season total to a league-leading 20 chances created.

Despite Wirtz's individual output, Ian Watson highlights that Liverpool continue to struggle significantly with generating quality opportunities. Andoni Iraola's side ranks second-bottom in the Premier League with just five big chances created this season, none of which have been produced by Wirtz. Dominic Szoboszlai leads the squad with three big chances, while table-toppers Manchester City have created five times as many.
