Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani’s Al Mirqab family office is exploring an Inter minority stake, three years after his son’s Manchester United takeover bid.

Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani's Al Mirqab family office has made exploratory verbal contact with Inter Milan's owners, Oaktree Capital Management, regarding the purchase of a minority stake. Oaktree assumed ownership of the Serie A club in May 2024 and does not currently contemplate selling control, though an investment that keeps its majority position intact remains a possibility.
Hamad Al Thani is the father of Sheikh Jassim, who previously launched a failed takeover bid for Manchester United in 2023. While no formal negotiations have commenced, Al Mirqab has recent investment ties to Milan after completing a major high-value commercial property acquisition in the city earlier in 2026.
