No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa exited the Wizards' preseason finale after injuring his ankle on an awkward landing and will undergo further evaluation.

Washington Wizards rookie and first overall pick AJ Dybantsa suffered a left ankle injury during the team's preseason finale on Friday. Dybantsa went down following an awkward landing after a midrange jump shot and limped off to the locker room. Wizards head coach Brian Keefe described the injury as a mild ankle sprain and noted that his removal was largely a precautionary measure.
Prior to exiting in the second quarter, Dybantsa recorded 12 points across 15 minutes of play. He is scheduled to undergo further medical evaluation ahead of the Wizards' regular-season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
