Jarmo Kekalainen has a realistic path to land superstar goalie Connor Hellebuyck. See how a multi-team deal makes it work for the Sabres.

Sabre Noise writer Brandon Croce outlines a hypothetical trade pathway for the Buffalo Sabres to acquire goaltender Connor Hellebuyck from the Winnipeg Jets. Croce reports that Hellebuyck is willing to waive his no-movement clause for Buffalo, but a deal depends on finding a landing spot for current Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen due to his five-team no-trade list.
Croce suggests the Sabres could send Luukkonen to the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Noah Laba to cover for injured goaltender Igor Shesterkin. To finalize the acquisition of Hellebuyck, Croce proposes Buffalo send Winnipeg a package featuring a future first-round draft pick, prospect Radim Mrtka, and forwards Ryan McLeod and Josh Norris.
