2026 top pick Daxon Rudolph has gotten off to a strong start in the NCAA after shifting from the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders

Buffalo Sabres 2026 top draft pick Daxon Rudolph has made an impressive start in the NCAA with the University of Denver, recording five points across four games and earning NCHC Rookie of the Week honors. Meanwhile, fellow Sabres prospect center Morozov has excelled with Miami University, scoring four goals across two games against Robert Morris University while skating alongside prospect Matous Kucharcik.
In additional roster moves, former Buffalo Sabres defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker was placed on waivers by the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. The 26-year-old blueliner, who signed a two-year extension with Detroit last March, has not appeared in a regular-season game this year following a preseason injury.
