All-Star goalie is slated to return from suspension on October 23rd, which could spur a possible trade

Elliotte Friedman reported that the Buffalo Sabres remain interested in acquiring Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. The 33-year-old netminder, who previously requested a trade, is scheduled to return from a suspension on October 23. That upcoming return could increase pressure on Winnipeg general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff to finalize a potential deal.
Other clubs reportedly showing interest in Hellebuyck include the Los Angeles Kings and the Carolina Hurricanes. A potential Buffalo trade previously faced complications due to goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's no-trade clause, while a recent injury to New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin could also impact the goalie trade market.
