1. FC Nürnberg moved to the top of the 2. Bundesliga after securing a narrow 1-0 away victory against Karlsruher SC at the BBBank Wildpark. Italian international Mohamed Ali Zoma scored the only goal of the match in the 31st minute, firing into the top-right corner after being set up by Javier Fernández.
The victory marks Nürnberg's fifth win of the campaign, extending their unbeaten run to six matches. Karlsruhe attempted to fight back in the second half with substitutions and had a potential equaliser by Rafael Pinto Pedrosa disallowed in the 63rd minute.
