Bayern Munich defender Konrad Laimer set for a spell on the sidelines after missing the 7-0 win against Union Berlin.

Bayern Munich defender Konrad Laimer is set to miss the first two games of the upcoming international break due to an adductor injury. The Austrian governing body, OFB, confirmed his absence after Laimer missed Bayern's 7-0 Bundesliga victory over Union Berlin on Friday. He is still expected to join the Austria national team camp and target fitness for their third and fourth fixtures.
With Laimer sidelined, manager Vincent Kompany started Josip Stanisic at right-back during the clean-sheet win against Union Berlin. Bayern also hold additional depth in the position through Joshua Kimmich and Sacha Boey, the latter remaining with the squad through at least January after summer transfer moves failed to materialize.
