Niko Kovac will reportedly sign a new contract next month in a news that wouldn't please many of their disgruntled supporters.

Borussia Dortmund is reportedly preparing to offer manager Niko Kovac a new contract following a successful tenure since taking charge in February 2025. According to reports from Sport Bild, Kovac could sign the extension in October following the international break, extending his stay beyond the expiration of his current deal in 2027.
Kovac previously guided Dortmund to a top-four finish in the 2024-25 season and secured a runners-up league finish in the subsequent campaign. In addition to extending Kovac's terms, the club also aims to secure new contracts for managing directors Carsten Cramer, Lars Ricken, and Thomas Tress.
