Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart are both monitoring Argentine left-back Lucas Esquivel, according to a report from fussball-news.de. The 24-year-old defender currently plays in Brazil for Athletico Paranaense, where his performances have also attracted attention from Italian clubs Inter and Lazio as well as clubs in the Premier League.
Athletico Paranaense holds a strong negotiating position as Esquivel remains under contract through 2029. A potential permanent transfer is expected to cost in the region of €15 million to €20 million, with the defender having tallied three goals and five assists in 23 appearances this season.
