The Story in 60 Seconds

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book solidified his standing at the club by securing a late loan deal for Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri. Following an ACL injury to Giannis Konstantelias, Dortmund urgently targeted the 19-year-old just a day before the transfer window closed. Negotiations were delayed until after Arsenal played Aston Villa on Monday evening.

Despite sporting managing director Lars Ricken heading home around 1:00 AM, Book persisted in negotiations and secured Arsenal's agreement at approximately 2:30 AM. Nwaneri completed his medical the following day to finalize the temporary switch, validating Dortmund's decision to hire Book as Sebastian Kehl's successor.
