Kimmich and Matthäus have their say on Barcelona star Adeyemi’s horror miss against Netherlands

Karim Adeyemi missed an open-goal opportunity to double Germany's lead in their 1-1 draw against the Netherlands on Thursday. After Felix Nmecha opened the scoring, Nathaniel Brown set up the Barcelona forward, who sent his shot over the crossbar. The incident prompted an animated reaction from Germany manager Jürgen Klopp.

Following the match, Germany captain Joshua Kimmich defended Adeyemi, stating that no blame should fall on the 24-year-old despite the missed chance. Meanwhile, RTL pundit Lothar Matthäus noted that Adeyemi normally scores such opportunities nine times out of ten.
