Paul Nebel, Silvan Widmer and Fabio Gruber have all returned to team training with Mainz 05.

Mainz 05 received a major injury boost as Paul Nebel, Silvan Widmer, and Fabio Gruber all returned to team training on Tuesday. The trio rejoined the squad ahead of their upcoming Bundesliga fixture against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. Midfielder Nebel's return concludes a lengthy spell on the sidelines, having missed the entire season so far following a pre-season injury.
First-choice goalkeeper Robin Zentner also returned to training after recovering from a hand injury, but he remains limited and could not participate in goalkeeper-specific drills. As a result, Alexander Schwolow is currently expected to start in goal for Mainz against Leverkusen.
