Maximilian Mittelstädt’s seventh-minute strike helped VfB Stuttgart secure a narrow 1-0 victory over in-form Werder Bremen, whose seven-match unbeaten Bundesliga run came to an end at the MHP-Arena.

VfB Stuttgart defeated Werder Bremen 1-0 at the MHP-Arena on Saturday, ending the visitors' seven-match unbeaten Bundesliga run. Defender Maximilian Mittelstädt scored the decisive goal in the seventh minute, firing a first-time finish into the roof of the net following an assist from Grischa Prömel.
Werder Bremen pushed for an equalizer in the second half through Eren Dinkçi and Youri Regeer, but Stuttgart goalkeeper Dennis Seimen and defender Finn Jeltsch kept them at bay. Mittelstädt also hit the post as Stuttgart secured back-to-back league victories for the first time this season.
