Pochettino praises 17-year-old Dortmund wonderkid after impressive USMNT debut

United States head coach Mauricio Pochettino praised 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund attacker Mathis Albert following his senior international debut. Albert came on around the hour mark during the United States' 4-1 victory over Peru on Saturday. The teenager made an immediate impression by winning the penalty that resulted in the team's second goal of the match.

Pochettino acknowledged that while Albert still needs experience and overall improvement, he lauded the youngster's drive and eager mentality on the pitch. Albert has also made two appearances for Borussia Dortmund's senior side so far in his club career.
