Serhou Guirassy’s brace sends Borussia Dortmund past battling Sabah in the UEFA Champions League

Serhou Guirassy scored twice to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 2-1 victory over Sabah FK in their UEFA Champions League league-phase match in Baku. Guirassy opened the scoring in the 10th minute from close range before Aden McCarthy equalized for Sabah with a header in the 39th minute. Guirassy then restored the advantage for Dortmund in the 53rd minute by converting a cross from Joey Veerman.

Manager Niko Kovač made four changes to the Dortmund lineup following a goalless draw with Union Berlin. Despite late pressure from Sabah and a missed chance by Orphé Mbina, Dortmund held on to secure the win, moving to six points from three Champions League games ahead of their upcoming fixture against Real Betis.
