VfB Stuttgart have provided an injury update on Nikolas Nartey after the 26-year-old suffered a new setback while on international duty with Denmark.

VfB Stuttgart midfielder Nikolas Nartey has suffered a fresh injury setback while on international duty with Denmark. The Bundesliga club confirmed on Monday that the 26-year-old returned early after developing muscular problems, which caused him to miss Denmark's 1-0 victory over Wales on Sunday.
Nartey had earned a late call-up to the national squad as a replacement for the injured Patrick Dorgu. He featured as an 80th-minute substitute in Denmark's 4-2 loss to Portugal on Thursday, but this latest issue adds to a frustrating season where he has been limited to just 15 minutes of Bundesliga action.
