Nineteen-year-old midfielder Tim Degener is making a push toward Borussia Dortmund's senior team following a standout showing for Borussia Dortmund II. The youth prospect scored two goals and provided two assists in a 4-2 Regionalliga West victory over Bocholt on Saturday, assisting goals scored by Daniel Sumbu and Kevin Mutove.
Degener has drawn praise from BVB youth coach Daniel Rios for his steady development and goal threat. Earlier in the season, the central midfielder scored against FC Koln II and registered an assist during a 3-2 defeat against Villarreal in the UEFA Youth League.
