Dawid Kownacki and Werder Bremen have mutually agreed to terminate the striker's contract.

Werder Bremen have confirmed the immediate termination of striker Dawid Kownacki's contract by mutual agreement. The Bundesliga club announced the decision following discussions regarding the 29-year-old Polish forward's role and future prospects with the team. Club official Clemens Fritz stated that parting ways was determined to be the best solution for both parties.
Kownacki originally signed with Werder Bremen from Fortuna Düsseldorf in the summer of 2023, going on to make 22 appearances for the club. Before the contract termination, he had spent the past two seasons on loan with Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hertha BSC.
