Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany revealed that Luis Díaz was left out of the starting lineup against Arsenal due to fatigue and injury concerns. The Colombian winger had struggled toward the end of Bayern's prior match against RB Leipzig, prompting the coaching staff to exercise caution amid a congested fixture schedule.
Kompany confirmed to DAZN that Díaz trained and remains available off the bench if needed. With attacking teammate Michael Olise serving a suspension, the manager highlighted the importance of having Díaz fit enough to provide an option as a second-half substitute.
