Christian Eriksen's time with VfL Wolfsburg has come to an end, as the player and club have mutually decided to terminate the contract running until 2027.

VfL Wolfsburg and midfielder Christian Eriksen have agreed to mutually terminate his contract, which was originally set to expire in 2027. Wolfsburg managing director for sport Dieter Hecking confirmed the club honored the 34-year-old's request to end the deal following an on-pitch medical incident earlier in the year.
Eriksen has been sidelined since suffering a cardiac collapse during a Denmark friendly against Ukraine in June, during which his implanted cardioverter-defibrillator activated. With his playing future currently undecided, Eriksen stated that he plans to remain in Denmark to be close to his family.
