The Borussia Dortmund striker scored against Kenya to give the National Elephants a narrow 1-0 win in their first match on home turf since June 2022.

Serhou Guirassy celebrated international football's return to Guinea by thanking fans after scoring the winning goal against Kenya on Thursday. Guinea secured a 1-0 victory in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the 28 September stadium in Conakry. Taking to social media, Guirassy dedicated the victory to the Guinean people on the eve of the nation's 68th Independence Day.
The match marked Guinea's first home game since June 2022 following the lifting of a stadium ban imposed by CAF. Guirassy netted the decisive goal in the 32nd minute past Kenya goalkeeper Bryne Odhiambo, marking his 12th international goal in 30 appearances for the National Elephants.
