Martin O'Neill's inspired substitutions saw Celtic come from behind to breathe life into their Europa League campaign with a much-needed 3-2 home victory over Besiktas.

Celtic secured their first Europa League win of the season with a dramatic 3-2 home victory against Besiktas at Celtic Park on Thursday. After falling behind to Junior Olaitan's rebound penalty in the 54th minute, manager Martin O'Neill introduced Callum Osmand and Camilo Duran. Osmand equalized with his first touch before Duran scored twice, including an 87th-minute winner shortly after Orkun Kokcu had leveled for the visitors.
The comeback win prevented Celtic from suffering a historic fifth consecutive European defeat and revived their hopes of reaching the knockout stage with four group fixtures remaining. O'Neill praised the character and energy of his substitutes, noting that the vital result provides the squad with a valuable platform to charge on in the competition.
