Bright Osayi-Samuel has played twice for Nigeria this international break, but he is returning to Birmingham City prematurely.

Birmingham City right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel has prematurely withdrawn from international duty with Nigeria, sparking potential injury concerns for the Championship club. The 28-year-old featured in matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau before pulling out ahead of a scheduled friendly against Russia, according to Nigerian outlet The Guardian.
Osayi-Samuel has started every match this season under manager Chris Davies, playing the full 90 minutes in six of his eight Championship appearances. If he faces time on the sidelines, 25-year-old Ethan Laird is expected to deputize as Birmingham City prepares to face West Bromwich Albion.
